New users can't register? Broken registration link?

I was contacted on another forum by someone wanting to register here and he said the register function of this site is not working. I logged out and clicked register and he is correct. Anyone know what is going on there?

The registration function has been disabled for about 2 months now. We got such an influx of spammers that there was no other choice. We're still waiting for the site owner to implement a CAPTCHA system so the registration can be turned back on.

Can he email anyone to get signed up on here? He sounded pretty disappointed that he couldn't join.

Any word on when the registration will be up and running? I am sure that with the new Fusions release we will have an influx of new members wanting to join and it would SUCK to have to do all the registrations manually.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Last I heard, the administrators were still trying to get in touch with the site owner. It's not looking good.

I've sent pm's and emails, over and over. I no longer have access to the database, the autoguide techs have to do all the tinkering for a legit spam blocker. Been waiting some time now........
