My name is Rob Studebaker, and I am the GM at Team Mazda Subaru in Caldwell, Idaho. I wanted to address the concerns of Shaun's post about his experience with our store. First, the misleading comment about the 2.3l and 2.0l motor is possible, though I cannot corroborate it due to the fact that I do not know his last name. I would be the first to tell you that with 17 sales consultants and many different selling styles and personalities, that a misstatement like this is possible. Second, I believe the car was sold pre-owned and has no relationship to the manufacturers MSRP. I'd again like to compare the sale price to the original MSRP to see if in fact we did sell him the car at $3000 over that amount as he stated. Third, if the salesperson said the trunk was deep enough for a full size spare, and then the spare fits, then it is deep enough for a full size spare. My intention is not to play semantics, but again, we are in the business of customer satisfaction and a great customer experience. If you read this post, I hope you would still consider us.
